Ralph Ellerton qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1968, after serving articles with Baker Todman in London. He joined Tube Investments Group in 1971, and became Group Chief Accountant at British Aluminium in 1976, before moving as finance director to Magnesium Elektron Ltd in 1979.
He left industry in 1990, and returned to practise at the two partner firm that became Appletons in 1996.
His background in manufacturing has enabled him to assist clients in setting the correct structure and the management information needed to control their business. He now works with two large charities as well as a portfolio of diverse clients.
